MARK is a light source, which can be used while reading at night, placed in between
the pages, just like any other book mark, without disturbing others around you.
It is a thin and flexible sheet made out of embedded FOLEDs (flexible organic LEDs)
(or similar technologies), which can glow. And its intensity of light can also be controlled
according to the user requirement.

Think about the ISSUE

So many designers all over the world busy in designing products for the same activity over and over again. WHY ?

“Just giving different shape to already existing one” or “ putting personal expression or style in the product”

Every body is thinking about the products and not the issues involved in making these products, therefore they end up in making a new product, which will serve the same purpose.

Therefore the present market is over flooded with the same products all over, with different shapes.

Do we ever question ourselves before giving any design solution to any problem?

“Coming up with innovative and new products we have to think about the issues and not the products.”

It’s like re-inventing the wheel.

This can be elaborated through an example.

If the question is to design a chair, the answer will be a chair.

BUT if the question changes to the core issue of designing a seating device, the answer also might change with something entirely new.

The "BEANBAG" is biggest example of the same.

This is not the only product in this context there are many other which exist because they really solve the issue.

There is lot to say about this but the core concern is to convey a message that we as a design communityshould think about the ISSUE, which is the guide to the invention of new and innovative products.

This is a simple product designed using plasticin material to teach different shapes and alphabets to people who cannot see.The stylus is made of turned wood with a rounded tip which is moved over the plasticin base covered with a plastic coating,( so that it does not sticks to hands) and it makes depression on the base.This depression creates surface diference, which helps them to understand the shape.
